Who is Alberta Telemark?

The Alberta Telemark Ski Club is operated by telemark skiers from various backgrounds. We come from cities and small towns; some of us wear suits to work, and others wear fleece. It is our hope that we can bring together our telemark community to learn, participate, and celebrate with one another at clinics, festivals, and competitions throughout the winter season. Most of the clubs events are centered around the Bow Valley from Calgary to Lake Louise, events are also scheduled for Marmot Basin in Jasper. All events hosted by the club are held on hill and sanctioned by Telemark Ski Canada Telemark.

Alberta Telemark is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers. We are committed to the development of the sport of telemark skiing in Alberta, and the rest of Canada. The funding for our club comes from our membership, event fees, and sponsorship. Your contribution as a member, participant, or sponsor is greatly appreciated and will help us continue to bring events to our telemark community. Club Executive

Pete Graham - President, Web Admin, Instructor

Pete was born in Canmore, Alberta and still calls this mountain town his home. He was introduced to telemark by a former national champion many years ago and continues to challenge himself with increasing proficiency of this graceful sport. When Pete became aware of the Alberta Telemark Ski Club he participated and won a few races held by the club. Being in the company of many great people in the Bow Valley has been a strong motivator to keep skiing as much as possible. Now that he was recently elected President, Pete wants to continue the planning of events and get more people involved in the sport. An ardent supporter of the club, Pete created and maintains this website and is also currently a Level 1 Telemark Instructor.
